Add to this the fact that Kim Gordon has just released her memoir, Girl In A Band, and Carrie Brownstein from Sleater-Kinney has just announced her memoir will be released later this year, and this new piece of Chloë Sevigny News is like some kind of Nostalgia For The Girls Of The Nineties climax. Kim Gordon started a street wear label called X-Girl in the '90s, and she recruited friend and muse Chloë Sevigny to star in this promotional video for the label, originally released in 1995. According to Bullett, Nowness unearthed and re-released the video last year.
The video explores the themes that underpin X-Girl (and Sonic Youth, and Chloë Sevigny) particularly gender. Watch:
