American lingerie giants, Victoria's Secret, have come under fire for a recent campaign that has been branded an "unhealthy and damaging message" by protestors.
The ads show Victoria's Secret models with the slogan "The Perfect Body" emblazoned across their torsos, and it has sparked outrage for being hurtful to women's self esteem – because, there are about twenty-five women in the world who have this 'perfect body'.
An online petition, started by a student at Leeds University, has already gained 500 online signatures to demand the removal of the campaign, as well as an apology from the company.
The fact that Victoria's Secret would launch this and fail to realise that it would provoke outrage is kind of mind-blowing – where's was their PR department when they needed it?
