Because we suspect Cara Delevingne has been in relationships with women in the past, and because we know St Vincent believes in gender fluidity and has very liberal views on gender and sexuality (she totally owns journalists who try to discuss her as a "woman in music"), when the pair walked through Soho together recently we must speculate that they're in a relationship with one another. This must be because lesbianism is, like crazy or something, and because lesbians can't have platonic female friendships, right?
I mean, it's a nice opportunity to check out St Vincent's epic street style, and to reflect on English socialite Cara Delevingne's cultural appropriation, but come on: do we really need to suggest that they're in a relationship to admire their jackets? Also of note is news.com.au's headline for their piece about this photo, that referred to St. Vincent, who has been a musician in the public eye for over a decade, as a "lesbian Grammy winner". No name, just sexual orientation. Nice.
While we're on the topic of St Vincent, read our interview with her in which she questions why all people in all small, beach-side towns prefer tie-dye, and explains why people troll the Internet.
