In their ongoing crusade to fight the good fight in favour of misogyny, Fox News have slammed Patricia Arquette's acceptance speech at the Academy Awards, in which she demanded equal pay for men and women in the United States.
In a segment on the television network, Fox News contributor Stacey Dash (who you might remember better from Clueless, which seems appropriate here) said she was "appalled" by Arquette's comments. She followed that up with some really intelligent little opinions; that Arquette needs to "do her history", and that "I didn't get the memo I didn't have rights".
Stacey Dash also cited Kennedy's signing of the Equal Pay Act into law in 1963 as the reason Patricia Arquette needs to shut the hell up. But regardless of this law, women still earn 77c for every dollar that men earn, according to the 2013 US Census. That's a factual statistic though, and Fox News don't seem to care much for those. First Disney princesses, now Patricia Arquette, next what?
