Some people say that how children "turn out" is a reflection of their parents. This argument is obviously part of a massive, overwhelming, and kinda unsolvable (especially after a bottle of wine at the weekend which is a scenario I have found myself in many times) debate, but, if anyone one person should favourably personify this argument, it is Lisa Bonet, because Zoe Kravitz is one hell of a human being (babe in a band, amazing actress, excellent personal style, brief girlfriend of Michael Fassbender – so all of the things, then).
All of this is to say that Lisa Bonet has excellent genes, which she has passed on to the next geneartion, but not before being awesome in her own life. Like an apparition surrounded by fairy dust, no matter how ridiculous the outfits her and Lenny Kravitz wore in the '90s were, they always managed to make them look incredible: they may be single-handedly responsible for turning top hats, weaves, dreadlocks, waistcoats, large embellished belts, tie-dye, and ethnic trinkets into fashion trends. And, because I love a lot of these things now, as well as being obsessed with the life and times of Zoe Kravitz, I am pretty obsessed with you, Lisa Bonet. As is our fashion director, Elle Packham, who picked her favourite Lisa Bonet Fashion Moments.
So let us reminisce about what a decadent, rule-less time the '90s were; a time before normcore, before political correctness, where everything went and coolness was directly attributed to how individual one looked. Naw, those were the days.
