House of Holland's spring 2015 collection is called Plaster Caster, and is based on none other than Cynthia Plaster Caster, who I had not heard of until this House of Holland collection made its way into the world but BY GOD am I glad I know about her now.
Cynthia Plaster Caster is a rock 'n' roll groupie who, during the '60s and '70s, went around from concert to concert, AAA pass in hand, casting the genitalia of rock stars out of plaster backstage. That's right, this is a thing that actually happened.
In our video interview with Henry Holland while he was in Sydney recently (which you can watch over here), he describes the pieces for spring 2015 as being modernised versions of the kind of thing Cynthia Plaster Caster and her pals wore way back when, because: "the groupie just feels like such a House of Holland girl: they knew what they wanted, they were sassy, they were cool, they dressed really well and knew what was going on."
The collection will be in store from early 2015.
